My idea for Halcyon Cycles was to make a functional affordable replica of a period board track racer. Board track racing was an amazing part of American history. These bikes are rare and expensive, therefore I set forth to create a bike that was obtainable.  The Halcyon I created is not only obtainable, it is fun and ride able, as well as a modern collectable.

Unlike an authentic racer these bike can be ridden without registration or license in most states. (Please check with your local laws first) Originally I would have liked to build with a larger output motor, however, it then becomes less accessible to the average enthusiast. I wanted to capture the look and feel of the real thing without all the hassles involved. Halcyon Cycles are one of a kind hand built collectable originals to be ridden.

I must admit I originally built my bike for selfish reasons just to satisfy my passion for these bikes. I built my first bike in 2004 and ever since people have been asking if I build them to sell. Now the time has come and would like to share this nostalgia with others.
